Doctorate Degree Program (PhD) 

 

The Department of Elementary Education Primary School Teaching Doctorate Program aims to provide students with the necessary skills to conduct independent research in the field of primary school teaching, interpret, analyze, and reach new syntheses by examining scientific problems and data from a broad and deep perspective.
The completion period of the program is eight semesters, with a maximum of twelve semesters. In addition, students who graduate from a different program and are accepted into the program are admitted to a scientific preparation program that includes prerequisite courses if deemed necessary. The program consists of nine courses: a seminar course, a proficiency exam, a thesis proposal, and a thesis study. After completing the courses and successfully defending the thesis prepared according to the guidelines of the Institute of Educational Sciences, the student completes the program and earns a doctorate.
Application requirements and program quotas are determined according to Marmara University Graduate Education and Training Regulations and announced by the Institute of Educational Sciences at the beginning of each semester.
